Fertility

Fertility is the natural ability to conceive and have children, influenced by several key factors. For women, it involves the health of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, regular ovulation, and hormone balance. For men, fertility depends on sperm count, quality, and motility. Conception is most likely during the fertile window of the menstrual cycle. Overall health, including age, lifestyle, and medical conditions, also impacts fertility. Our experienced doctor provides comprehensive assessments to identify any fertility issues, offering a range of treatments for those facing challenges in achieving pregnancy. Men’s consultation will be at Men’s division.

IVF and ICSI

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a widely used assisted reproductive technology designed to help individuals or couples conceive a child. The process begins with ovarian stimulation, where hormonal medications are used to encourage the production of multiple eggs. These eggs are then retrieved from the ovaries through a minor surgical procedure. In the laboratory, the eggs are combined with sperm to facilitate fertilization, and the resulting embryos are monitored as they develop. One or more healthy embryos are selected and transferred into the uterus, where they may implant and grow into a pregnancy. IVF is often utilized when other fertility treatments have not been successful, or when specific medical conditions affect fertility, such as blocked fallopian tubes or male infertility.

Contraception

Contraception refers to a variety of methods and devices used to prevent pregnancy, enabling individuals and couples to control if and when they conceive. These methods include barrier options like condoms, hormonal methods such as birth control pills, long-term solutions like intrauterine devices (IUDs), and permanent procedures like sterilization. Additionally, natural methods involve tracking fertility to avoid pregnancy during peak fertile periods. Contraception plays a vital role in family planning, allowing people to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and manage their fertility effectively.

Family Planning

Family planning involves the use of various methods and resources to control the timing and number of children a person or couple decides to have. It includes contraception, fertility awareness, and education on reproductive health. Family planning allows individuals to make informed decisions about their reproductive lives, promoting both maternal and child health by ensuring pregnancies are planned and well-spaced.
